What my boyfriend told me just now!

My boyfriend Leigh is in the van all day and is listening to Radio 1 and he told me to have a look! Its very interesting they are linking bullying to eating disorders!

Supermodel Kate Moss sparked outrage yesterday by claiming "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels".

I was just sitting here watching the news and heard this, I am very shocked because the way Kate Moss is talking as someone with their own problem. I always say not so much now, but I would think I felt a lot better when I wasn't eating but it last for a few days then, it kicks into something else and its not very nice!

In an interview with fashion news website WWD, Moss said one of her mottoes was: "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."

The saying is widely used by anorexia and bulimia sufferers on websites.

Just an idea of what I want to do

A few images of some children's school work at the Saatchi.

These have FAT and other words wrote inside the apples, which is weird in a way as it looks like fat and muscle inside the apple. I found this very interesting as if symbolic of the different ages of children think.

Just a test at Airbrushing

To see where my project is going I decided to take after the tutorial last week to the next stage. Because of the Article I founded in The Daily mirror and the interviews, I decided to have a mess around with an old image of mine and make me look different! it looks very distort.

What I want to try and do is push it to an installation either with stills onto acetate and project it on to the wall of a subject slowly disappearing and on another wall a silent clips of the interviews making it fade in and out! and make a sound-scape with their own words and of particular sounds!

Hollyoaks in 2007 showed 2 young girls Hannah and Melissa suffering with the Eating disorders Anorexia/Bulimia. even though in some parts its really affective, its some what unbelievable. I know from own experiences everyone is different with there disorder but it shows to girls helping each other along, unfortunately Melissa dies.

Now in 2009 what i have liked about Hannah's story is that she is struggling, as you never fully recover, you just know how to cope better! But this young girl Anita is crying out for attention and is currently lying to Hannah saying she hasn't been eating to make a long story short!

Whilst looking at the newspaper (The Daily Mirror) at work that someone had left i came across this article which really annoyed me! Now its Airbrushing that is the cause of Anorexia! it gets a bit annoying when there are so many other factors that the media never pointed out and the same as television!

Sheffield Doc/Fest 2009

I went to Sheffield to see what the Doc/Fest to see what it was like on the 04/11/09.

I really found it helpful towards my work also, the one that stood out for me was Women activist ( bout a group of women in London that has stated to bring back what was started 40 years ago)
